I really like the Auto Window/Crossing By Direction feature (Customize - Preferences - General - Scene Selection), but I hate that the Paint Selection “understand” that and only selects what is inside the brush size.
So put an option for the Paint Selection to ignore this feature…
EDIT: And just for the sake of consistency when using the Window/Crossing button on the main toolbar, with it active change the shade of the line to contiguous and dotted when inactive, like what Auto Windows/Crossing does.
