Since 3dstudio max R1 (1996) the Spline Editor has a number of bugs that never were addressed.

Most notorious: Booleans performed on Splines fail ca 30% of the time for no reason.  It’s a hazard to
use Vertex Connect: after saving and reloading the scene the sequence of vertices often appears mixed up.
The segment created by Vertex Connect is not regognized as a segment.

I’m sure there’s a lot more.

So… before you start working on all those fancy new features… could you please spend some time
on repairing the bugs that are in 3dsmax for 13 years now and annoying me several times a day!

And while you’re at it:
Handles that combine Move, Scale and Rotation ( like they’re used in Corel Draw and also in the
Unwrap UVW Editor) would be a very welcome New Feature.

Please, don’t forget to pay some attention to the Basics…

Exactly! I second that. First fix MAXes basic usability issues, and then add new ones! Perhaps call Chaos group and see how they do it - for FREE!
