1st time 3ds max starts, please add an option to sellect user expirience level. (noobs should have all help poping up and cube enabled and all those new user friendly things you added should stay enabled for new max users) (for advanced users option, remove 3d cube, remove search and quick access toolbars, we both know we hate it)
Also 3d cube is hecka small and hard to get on it. Make is as large as wheel (wheel sucks by the way and cube is a great replacement for it.)
option to remove quick access toolbar permanently.
option to remove search assistance toolbar permanently.
option to restore FILE menu instead of large icon. (please bring back normal FILE menu, at this point it covers half of the screen making me dizzy)
option to have classic MAX icons set in UI switcher.
Top of the 3ds max window (where quick access and search toolbars are located, the one you click to drag 3ds max window) should be default windows collor or different from UI by default.
Add (Smooth + Highlights) option to enable all hardware shading with one click (maybe add a shortcut ?)
Option to be able to modify hardware shading engine. This will eliminate need for rendering in some cases.
Undo should be set to maximum by default if system has over 50 GB or HDD space free (dont you think ?) or maybe increase it up to 0=unlimited ?
Could you alter the future version of 3ds max installation so it wont install any shared product such as services and install them locally instead spreading them around the C drive ? (would make it easier for deployment and your crew will have less work to do to upgrade deployment setup process, less work+less pay+less loss=more money in your pocket)
You guys have already had one problem with shared components such as when one autodesk app is removed another gets effected, so why not to avoid having it at all ? I mean do you really need it ? I know license is depending on service, but it could run locally each time 3ds max starts and stop when max exits.
All 3ds max related services or background processes should be stooped upon max exit and start when max starts. No one wants any useless programs running on background right ? (raysat server almost 2 MB of ram-Presentation cache is almost 9 MB-FNP license service is almost 2.5 MB quits to slow assuming it has to call home first) Total of about 11-12 MB unused proccesses runnign all the time even if max is not.

Its easier to hide registration information in registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT than making it depending on service (just an idea)
