The new version of 3D Studio Max is spit up in two parts (design and entertainment) but where is the entertainment part?
Without a punch of very expensive plug-ins you can’t do anything in vfx and animation!!!

The whole entertainment part of the program is over 5 years old and you can feel that on every corner.
Where are all this easy to use entertainment features of the other 3D packages?

-The character animation system is old, complicated and to inflexible
-where is a muscle/skin system?
-Modern crowd simulation?
-Modern Hair and Fur system?
-Fluid animation?
-Modern physic system for destruction etc…
-Clothanimtion
-Modern camertracking?
-node based Textureditor?

and in the end an innovative new Interface??? ;)

The 2010 Version will be the last one I wait and hope for a sign in the right direction...... I wait now over 5 years and see other packages go better and better only max looks and feel like the program 5 years ago…
Regards pat
