We are currently exporting animations from Maya as FBX Ascii files using the 2011.3.1 version of the plug-in.  Every once in a while, however, we seem to be having an issue where after we have exported a key frame that the animator has set on a control is changed.  It is usually on the frame where the timeline is set to currently.  It sets it to a position of 0,0,0 in Maya, instead of what it was originally.  The weird issue is that it happens only on one control and nothing else as well as on random files.

I wanted to see if there were any settings that we are using for the export process that could be causing this, or any workarounds that anyone can think of.

thanks,

Mike

Hello mikedetecnico!

I think the first and most simplest test you could do is run the same operations using the latest version of the plug-in.  There have been many issues and bugs fixed between version 2011.3.1 and the current version, 2012.2.

You can find it here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/item?siteID=123112&id=10775855

Let us know what the results are.

Cheers!
Carlos
