Hi,

I just tried to reproduce the issue you’re facing with just seeing the links, but couldn’t; I see the bones fine in 3ds Max.  Would you be able to share the file - perhaps there’s something unique in your scene that is causing this to happen.  In the meantime, try to simply Unhide All objects in 3ds Max (perhaps the bones import as hidden nodes).  There may be a visibility inheritance issue.

If you end up sending me the Maya file, please also let me know what you’re exporting and importing with.  You said you’re using 3ds Max 9.  Which version of Maya?  Which version of the FBX exporter?  Importer?  I exported with 2010.0 in Maya 2009 and imported with FBX 2009.3 in 3ds Max 9 (latest FBX version available).

Thanks,
