Hello Guys,

i have a model rigged and animated in maya 2011, then exported it to FBX
and i got this warning message.

The plug-in has found the following skin definition problems :
Unable to find the bind pose for :  / joint11 / joint12 / joint13 / RightUpperArm. No bind poses in the hierarchy containing the object will be exported.
Unable to find the bind pose for :  / joint11 / LeftUpperLeg / LeftLeg. No bind poses in the hierarchy containing the object will be exported.
Unable to find the bind pose for :  / joint11 / RightUpperLeg / RightLeg / joint8. No bind poses in the hierarchy containing the object will be exported.
Unable to find the bind pose for :  / joint11 / joint12 / joint13 / RightUpperArm. Use the DAG node current transform.
Unable to find the bind pose for :  / joint11 / joint12 / joint13 / RightUpperArm / RightArm / Hand / joint25 / joint26. No bind poses in the hierarchy containing the object will be exported.

i need to settle this because when i trying to compile it into xna it says : Input Skeleton not found, i also read a lot of threads in different forums, then figured it out its exporting problem, but i dunno what to do in that warning message

help me guys :(

TIA :)

Are you using the 2011.3.1 version of the FBX plugin?
If so, can you post the exported model (or some subsection) that has this issue?

Having a similar issue here. Got a skinned mesh I’m exporting to Fbx, and it’s throwing up the warning:
“Unable to find the bind pose for :  / Reference / Hips / Spine / Spine1. Use the DAG node current transform.”

Glad you solved your problem, would you care to post how?

Cheers,
Mkm

Hi, sorry for my late reply

this is my steps to get rid that error

after rigging(smooth bind) the model using the fresh file .mb

i will export it to fbx and you will not receive that error

and use that for animation and adding weights instead the file .mb

im just getting that error after i rig the model and save it as .mb (same with in just save) and re-open it then
export

you will encounter skin definition in that way

i hope this help you

Cheers
