Hi,

If I understand correctly:

You have DWG and DXF formats that you want to convert to DAE (and KMZ).
You use the FBX Converter to convert your files to DAE, but they seem to miss data.

Yes, that is possible, since the support for DWG and DXF formats is limited in FBX. If you want, we can investigate on one of your sample files.

Hi,
thnaks for your reply :)

my problem is if i am having a DXF file and if i convert it to DAE with Google SketchUp it will have data around 2 MB
but when i convert it with import export sample given by FBX SDK it just creates a DAE file with 1.3 KB which dosnt have any required data, and when open it in Google Earth it, it show nothing

i have attached the Both DXF and DAE file after conversion from FBX sample
it would be great help if you suggest me that will it be good to use FBX to convert DXF/DWG to DAE?
if not, then please suggest me another option
thank you in advance:)

Hello,

Google Earth does not support geometry designed with polygon elements.
You may convert any polygon element to triangle element in order to be managed by GE.
FBX 10.2 is currently not able to perform such conversion.
I’ve tried to do so without any success.

Hi Rahul,

I did not get your attachment. However, I had a similar problem with a DXF file. The problem was that the DXF contained “3DSOLID” entities, which are currently not supported by FBX SDK’s DXF reader. Please verify if this is the case for you.
