Hi everyone,

I am currently developping a FBX loader. I have a problem with one file exported from Autodesk Revit Architecture. In fact I am using the FBX SDK 2010.2 and when I load this file, I obtain an AccessViolationException : “Attempt to read or to write protected memory. This often indicate that other memory is corrupt” (Maybe not exactly that, I translate it from french)

It happens when I call the “TriangulateInPlace” function from the KfbxGeometryConverter Class. What could it be ? How can I resolve this problem ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Guigs,

This issue has been raised (in FBX 2010.0), and corrected a while ago… internally. I guess it did not make it to FBX 2010.2.

According to our bug database, the issue is with files coming from Revit 2010, not those from Revit 2009. I am not aware of a workaround, except maybe using Revit 2009? OR, you could be interested in trying our new FBX 2011 Beta version. You can register via beta.autodesk.com. If you need more help, write us at .

PS. On parle français aussi :)

Thank you for your clear answer. Is this bug resolved in the beta version of FBX 2011 ?
If so, I could try it ;).

Et effectivement expliquer mon problème en français aurait été plus simple mais travailler mon anglais ne fait pas de mal ! Encore merci pour votre attention .

G.

EDIT: I checked the version of Revit with which I created my FBX file; it is Revit 2009.

I have tried with an other scene, made with Revit 2009, and I have the same problem. How can I try the FBX SDK 2011 beta version ? I was on beta.autodesk.com, I am registered, and now ?

Thank you.

GS

Hi Viviane,

I really don’t know how to get the beta version. I am registered now on the beta.autodesk.com website, but I can’t find the beta of the FBX SDK 2011. How can I proceed ?

And you said me it was a problem with Autodesk Revit 2010 that’s why I tried with a file from Autodesk Revit 2009, and it doesn’t work.

Thanks for your help,

G.
