Hi all,
i am trying to import also dxf files using the fbx sdk.
From all the trials that i’ve made, it appears that the dxf files
take nealry forever to be loaded by the sdk.
Are there any parameters that i may specify to the scene opening routine
to speed up the entire process?

Or eventually may someone point me to a faster sdk to open dxf files?

thanks for any hint,
enrico

Hi Enrico,

The only option to DXF is object derivation (eBY_LAYER, eBY_ENTITY, eBY_BLOCK). I don’t know if changing this will help you load files faster.

If you want, you can send us a couple DXF files and I will open a suggestion in our database that we take a look if there is something we can do to speed up the reading process.

By the way, the FBX support of the DXF file format is quite limited right now.
