Hi guys,

Is there any built in support for creating/identifying triangle strips?

Many thanks

Nop, there is no such function in FBX SDK yet.

Are you talking about for DirectX or OpenGL? I’ve since figured from asking a question here that you should set the mapping mode on everything to eBY_POLYGON_VERTEX and run the imported mesh through your optimization algorithm, which will produce triangle indices. You will then be able to render a mesh as a series of index polygons.

The issue I have here is that it’s for some educational Nintendo DS homebrew, the system doesn’t support vertex arrays.
