ive tried three different “projects” from hard to easy to get it to calibrate, all of which i have more than 26 markers and i cannot get any color other than grey on my markers. there is no “calibrate” button i can see.. most all are greyed out.. is there something im doing wrong? any tips. you would think that if i click on the same point in at least two diffent photos that those two points would turn green but i get nothing.

any help would be appreciated…
by the way when i first installed this it BSOD’ed me and re-installed over the top since it would not let me un-install it.. could this be a glitch in the install? it seems to work fine except zero green markers.

im at a loss.. it really looks cool but without results i cant show my boss its benefits.

help

OK, got a few to turn green… i guess what i thought was easy isnt so easy for it.. i guess im going to have to give it even simpler images…

ok, so i went to the simplest thing i could think of… i put a box of hp toner on a table top and took 4 photos each from a corner showing three sides each… started a project imported photos and started locating corners and establishing 90 degree angles and x ,y and z plane restrictions… you would think that it would get all corners green..

not one of them went green…
i dont know how to get it simpler than that.

any ideas?

Well i finally resorted to a single shot image and tried to build primatives and join them but this program has got some serious usability issues.. ive wasted 2 days just trying to get at least one thing created and i got zip to show for it..
you might want to take some usability tips from sketch up. it shouldnt be this difficult.
your right click menus should be more contextual.
to use this program is quite painful. the potential for this is huge.

i see lotsa viewers but not so many posters.
would love to try this out when the bugs get worked out.
hope to see it in the future.

Hi

I have been trying this program out to and looks like it could be great if i can get it working properly. I have been able to get it to calibrate, but, when i get to modeling i find that the calibration across images isnt that great. So at the moment i am trying a lot of experimenting to see if i can get the calibration more accurate. Have you tried using the tutorial from Autodesk? If you cant get it to calibrate using their images and the points they suggest you place then it might be an install problem.

I found the tutorial helpful to a very basic level but it doesnt go into much detail, neither does the help file. Here is a link to an Autodesk University video that i found quite good. Talks about stitcher and imagemodler:

I share your frustration though there seems to be no tutorials on the web and no one who is experienced with the program monitoring this forum. Looks like most people give it a try and give up because of the lack of support.

If anyone frome Autodesk is watching..... a little help would be greatly appreciated
