In 3DS Max, my imported mesh does not line up perfectly with my image planes that I've added to my imported cameras. It's close - but not the same as in imagemodeler. Distoima seemed to do a pretty good job and by eye, the distortion remove seems about right. Can someone offer some advice please? 2012-05-15T10:09:28+02:00 samples http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/samples/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/samples/page-last/#When:16:52:48Z hi, anyone have some samples images other than (autodesk tutorial data) to start project on Autodesk ImageModeler just for practice ?? 2012-05-08T16:52:48+02:00 Some free camera mapping tutorials for Imagemodeler and Lightwave. http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/some-free-camera-mapping-tutorials-for-imagemodeler-and-lightwave/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/some-free-camera-mapping-tutorials-for-imagemodeler-and-lightwave/page-last/#When:12:54:44Z I couple of years back I did some internal training on camera mapping with Vtour 1.1, Imagemodeler 4, and Lightwave. I've been given permission to release them to the public. This series of tutorials illustrates cleanup of the original photo in Photoshop, the export process from Vtour/Imagemodeler, the import process to Lightwave 9, and setup/application of the camera maps for rendering. Most of this would be old news for you guys but hey, it's free. I took 10 pictures of my wife, moving around her at about the same distance for 360 degrees. I uploaded the photos in Catch, but got an error message that it was unable to create the scene because 3d information couldn't be extracted from the images. What do I have to do to get Catch to get the 3d information? Thanks. PS: it said that I should try capturing overlapping images which doesn't seem to make sense. 2011-12-12T04:57:04+02:00 Units miss-match between measurement and coords system http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/units-miss-match-between-measurement-and-coords-system/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/units-miss-match-between-measurement-and-coords-system/page-last/#When:01:42:04Z This was causing some confusion. I have my measurement units set to cm, but the units used by the coords system seem to do their own thing, like they are still working in meters. Before realizing this I was getting problems setting survey points or checking the transform of locators. Is this normal, can you change the coord units to match the measure units? It also explains why every time I import into Max it's always the wrong scale. Surely it makes more sense to use the same units across he board in a scene. 2011-10-18T01:42:04+02:00 Question http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/question/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/question/page-last/#When:02:09:36Z Hello Everyone, I am an interior visualizer and I am curious on how I can use this program to create fast interiors by the use of a single photo and restyle it in 3Dsmax Take a picture like this for example (just googled one) en imagine you also have a floor plan with some dims on it. Eventually I want to load it in 3Ds max, put textures on it and put furniture in it. Is it possible to model this room with Imagemodeler faster than you would normally do? If so, can you give me a short workflow for this? Hope anyone can reply on this, thanks in advance! But my goal is to be able to model a human body with about 6 photos taken around a person. I don't need the type of detail that is found in the morgan freeman bust, but I need enough detail to be able to measure the body parts later...such as the length of the arms, the length of the neck, the girth of the neck, etc. I am really new to this stuff and was hoping there was a step-by-step tutorial somewhere that will explain to me how to do one example of this. Because I am not in the CAD business, or the VR business there is a steep learning curve for me, and just getting a tutorial that walks me through doing one model would be really helpful. Does anybody know of such tutorial that I can start with? 2011-07-14T20:13:51+02:00 Wheres image modeler gone http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/wheres-image-modeler-gone/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-imagemodeler/general-discussion/wheres-image-modeler-gone/page-last/#When:11:09:11Z I need to create a 360 degree photomatch animation in Max. My thought was to put the photos together in Image Modeler and export them with the camera position into Max and use them as a background I see that image modeler is no longer available on subscription. Does anybody know of any alternative that will export the camera position to Max? 2011-06-21T11:09:11+02:00
