Hey guys,

I’m glad of using red footage in Lustre 2010(linux) with the WTG. A small problem (i hope it is small), is about conforming the red-material via wiretap with an xml. First i thought its only the difference in the seq-path (home x localhost@WTG ... ). But after changing it to the same one when lustre s creating the cutfile and nothing works, now the UID is under suspicion. Is it possible, that lustre needs the UID for connecting via the gateway server?

Do you have other options to conform via wiretap?

Regards

Hi Jonastt!
You can only conform media in Lustre with an EDL.  And since the EDL referenced non standard CMX EDL reel name, you need to make sure to have an EDL (from Avid) that contains a Source Table (i.e. a table of short and long reel name).  This is an option in Avid EDL Manager.  EDL from FineCut pro have this data so no problem there. Just import the R3D footage, load the EDL, hit Assemble and voila!

As far as the XML cut file, there is no relationship between UIDs and Wiretap Gateway path.  These two pieces of metadata are not related.

Let us know.
