We’ve got a new FP suite just installed with a Sony BVM-e250 viewing display.  I’m looking for the best Lustre settings and LUTs for DCI (D-Cinema) grading and print delivery.  We are working primarily with RED media.  Thank you or your responses!

Hi!
You could start by using the LUTs coming with Lustre (in the /usr/discreet/Lustre_Color dir) and for example play with a Kodak 2383 emulation on Broadcast Monitor, then you could use the LUT using the equivalent target (Kodak2383) but outputting DCI colorspace in XYZ for your DCDM (what goes into your DCP encoder).
On the RED side of things RedLog and RedColor2 generally give the best results for film out. If you need more info don’t hesitate to contact me at http://www.workflowers.net

Thank you… I’ll try that set up to start.  We don’t have a D-Cine viewing room so I’m still looking for options on how to test the actual output on a projector.  Will submit update or contact if I have additional questions.  Thanks again!
