I have a problem with 3D grades in Lustre 2012 Ext1. I save complete grades from a stereo project "A" with sync activated to the globals in the grade bin. When I go to another grd "B" what uses the same cut file (same timeline) like the grd "B" and double click the grade from the globals this is what happens: Color Grading information gets put on the shot masks are not tracked anymore or masks have to be combined with trackers again. also dynamics are lost like fade outs of masks. Has anybody an idea how to solve that problem? I'm working on a Lustre Premium 2012 Extension 1 software version 2012.1.0.133. I've assembled some RED Epic footage, with mixed resolutions due to frame rates (and I think they might have been mucking around on some shots....2048x854 is weird) but in my timeline, the image has only fit the width of the frame. I have tried the options in the transcode menue of centre crop, fill etc, makes no difference. When I try to scale the shots that dont fit vertically, the image doesn't scale past the blanking of the original image resolution. What I mean is that e.g: the shots that are 2048x854 have what looks like a 2.35 or 2.40 aspect ratio and so when I try to zoom the shot to fit the height, the blanking stays at that aspect and the image zooms but only within the 2.40 blanking, but just for that shot. My project is set up as 1920x1082 25psf, so I would assume that the blanking for the project should keep those parameters no matter what the input resolution was. Hopefully someone can answer this workflow question. We've been getting Alexa files in that are shot in Log. Of course they eventually have to end up in Linear. What is the best workflow for this. I know that in Lustre you can set it to work in Log and output in Linear. Don't know if there are LUTs involved. I'm trying to do a CHANGE CUT. I dragged a smoke timeline into Lustre which created a new scene. I then did a grade and saved that grade. I now have a new version or CUT. In EDITING/BROWSE I have 2 versions, Version01 and Version02. Version01 has the grade I want to copy to Version02. I select Version01 and load the GRADE for that version. I then select Version02 in EDITING/BROWSE and press CHANGE CUT. The cut does in fact change to Version02 but there is not GRADE on that new cut. In addition, when I load a cut, the last GRADE is not selected for that cut. Seems to me that it should load the current grade when loading a CUT. Anyway the CHANGE CUT is killing me.
