How do you remove things from a Character Set?

I keep trying to delete some things from my character set but they wont go away off my set. i have tried using the character set editor and everything. how do i remove things like joint rotations and other stuff that wont get off my character set.

You can removed unwanted attributed using the Relationship editor.  Simply go to window ---> relationship editor ---> character set.  Make sure you have the character selected in the left side and simply unselect the attribute from the right side.
