Hello everyone,
I have an animation question using maya 2012 and Human IK. Can you use Human IK in addition to the trax editor? I’m using a motion capture file and I need to slow the animation down. Make the character walk at a slower pace. I’ve tried making a character set out of the control rig curves and it seems to cancel out any linking of the skeleton to the Human IK rig. I’ve tried this procedure before baking the rig and after baking the rig and still no answer. I’ve tried taking the motion capture data and scaling it in the graph editor but that makes the rig walk all funky.
I’ve no real experience with motion capture data before this. I plan to use animation layers afterwards to tweak the walk cycle to my liking. The main concerns are slowing the animation down and yet be able to add to the animation after. Am I thinking along the right lines here or should I attack it from a different angle? ANY information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Hey,
I’m having a very similar problem. Did you ever find a solution?
I have a character with motion captured animation retargeted to my character rig. I merge all the animation layers to the baseAnimation layer and bake the aniamtion to the control rig while the character set is active. But when creating an Animation Clip in the Trax Editor, the clip doesn’t store any of the animation.
Anyway, it would be really great if you have found a solution?
Thanks
