Hi all.

I’m trying to export an animation did with Maya and a IK+Nurbs controls rigged character to a Flash application.

I could actually bake the animation and export the resulting animated geometry.
The only problem of this is that the file i get is huge (over 2 megabytes for 20 frames).

Doing a bit of research I’ve seen that a chance would be to just export the skin and the bones.
So I’m looking for a way to transfer the animation from the controls to the bones.
So i can keep the skeleton and get rid of the controls.

Is there any way to achieve it without entering a world of pain/

Thanks in advance.

if you’re using the newer versions with Animation layers, you can export the animation to an animation layer and import them onto your clean file.

just a suggestion,
