Hi,I just wanted to ask if for example,u keyframe a wrist a number of times on the time slider. Is there a way u can move a key across the slider without affecting the curves in the graph editor?
By the way,I also wanted to know if there are ways u can make textures look better in the viewport cause whenever I have a good number of models with textures displayed with alpha planes, and shadows, the viewport becomes slow unlike Motionbuilder there isn’t any lagging or slow viewport.
Thanks.

This is a tough question because keys on the timeline define the curve in the graph editor. If you change where the key is...it will inevitably change the curve. I am trying to think what you are looking to do, and am a little lost.
I assume you know how to move keys on the time line by shift selecting them and sliding/scaling them...but of course this changes the curves as well. You can also use ‘i’ with the MMB to insert a key along the curve in the graph editor...but this doesn’t work in the time line.
Maybe you can talk us through your question a little more specifically.
As for viewport display...Assuming that you don’t have heavy character rigs, this has everything to do with your graphics card. Motion Builder use Direct3D for it’s display while Maya uses OpenGL...depending on your graphics card you could notice a big differnce in performance. You can tweak the performance settings a little in Maya using the options found under Display in mayas preferences. But the sad truth is that you should get used to animating with having only what you absolutely need to see visible.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...hopefully someone else has some more positive ideas.
All the best
~Ben
