Is there a setting for the time range where I only see frames that have keys? say I have the keys spaced out over time for my animation. but now I want to just veiew the keys and I don’t want to use < and > to run through all the keys and I don’t want to have hundreds of frames to scroll through..

like a Show-key frames only. type of thing.

im not sure if that is possible, but ive never found the need for it, as the key ticks overlay the frameNumbers, so they don’t get in the way, and their display is optimised by the length of the range, so you dont get a long timeline of say 1000 frames with every frameNumber displayed.

Any particular reason you dont want to see them?

Any issues with key ticks not being prominent enough, you can increase their thickness, or the height of the timeLine itself in the “Timeline” category in preferences.

I have an example. Say I want to go to frame 6 to see what it looks like. and compare it to frame 39. That is a lot of travel time for my hand/mouse. where if I could hide the non key frames I would only have to move my mouse about 1 inch. ^_^ its not a big inconvenience though…

lol I’m assuming you have low(ish) sensitivity on your mouse then?

you can remove the frames inbetween by putting those keys next to each other ie instead of keys at 1 13 26 etc put them as 1 2 3+.

you already mentioned using the NextKey shortcuts , and . but tbh i can’t see how removing the inbetween frames would make it any quicker/easier?

i suppose you could even extend your timeline *3 and they keyframes would then be closer together.

haha, yea no its not even worth complaining about. ^_^ I don’t mind, I was just wondering.

and as far as putting them all next to each other, I am considering if I have already timed it perfectly and dont want to ruin that. But it is conventional to have all the poses perfect before timing anyways.
