"Expand all" in the outliner?

this has been bugging me for ages. apologies if it’s totally simple. but how do you expand all in the outliner?
why cant you just shift select and press the plus sign?
arrgh!

Edit -> Select Hierarchy then Display -> Reveal Selected

yes.. Select Hierarchy then Display is the main point from where you can go next..

or you could just shift+click the group to expand all.
