Is Maya 2008 64 bit a Memory(RAM) or Processor(CPU) intensive Program when Rendering??

Reason for this Question:

1. I am a System Builder not a User of Maya.
2. I want to know whether or not the Processor or Memory makes the difference,or both.

If you need more information from me,ASK, I in return will ask the users of the program that i deal with.

I have found Posts that “imply” that this Program uses a lot of memory,but i have yet to find a DEFINITIVE ANSWER.

CPU intensive - yes
Memory - depends on the scene.

Amount of geometry, shader complexity, quality settings will all influence how much memory Maya wants to use…
