Since this site has become more 3D Max oriented lately, I was wondering what sites anyone would recommend for Maya tutorials and information.

Thanks

Digital Tutors has a selection of FREE “getting started” tutorials for Maya. Their tutorials go back to I think Maya 6 and the most recent ones are for 2008.

Another good site for free and “pay-for” tutorials is called Simply Maya. They use a point system to get a lot of their tutorials, but they also have some really good beginner tutorials that are free.

Another site that I have found some good tutorials on is highend.com , they have tutorials and such for may different 3d softwares, but it is all broken down into applications, so you can search for just Maya stuff. Most of what the have is Maya related. Folks post all kinds of good stuff over there almost daily.

Also, don’t give up on this site completely. There are quite a few very good Maya tutorials right here.

Hey rbralynski,
The balance between maya/max tutorials may appear to be ‘uneven’ from time to time...sometimes it can be a little more max, or a little more maya—but this is the result of tutorial submissions we get from users. Hope that you can be patient with us and stay tuned..

Was there something in particular you are searching for?

no way!

though this site might be limited, i wouldn’t stop looking here and participating..
it is hard to find what you might need, however, keep an eye out.

also i just started the buzz3d maya fundamentals..and find it quite good for 90$ u get 3 big long detailed projects.
