hi l was setting up blue prints car to model when l imported the images and changed their width and height to the images resolution
l started having this problem whenever l zoom in l get this( the planes start to disappear from the center)....any body can tell me how can l fix this!

select your came and in the att editor change near and far view distance.. default is 0.01 and 1000 i guess.. set it to 1000000..

lol yeah I had this problem too awhile back…
just a word of caution, don’t let your maximum and minimum distances have too large of a separation, because it will cause some graphical anomalies in your working window...I know because it did it to me ;)

Hey!
That helped me. I just purchased a OBJ model to use for a commercial. When imported I saw absolutely nuthin. I’d select an object in the outliner and then hit the F key to zoom to it. It only became visible while Maya zoomed in. Once it reached the object it became disappeared.
I adjusted the camera’s attribute for distance and it all appeared like magic.

You can go into the Maya preferences and set a larger default value for the camera clipping plane if this is a constant issue…
