I have a character with a Place3dTexture projection on it. I want to duplicate the character and move the new copy around but the texture on the duplicate keeps moving around the surface.
I’ve tried grouping, parenting, and doing a Create Texture Reference Object. None of these have worked.
How can I make a duplicate of my character and move it around the scene without the 3d projection textures moving on the surface?

I still can’t seem to get this to work.
I have a ramp shader projected onto a sphere as a place3dtexture node. If I duplicate that sphere and try to move it, the ramp shader on the duplicate shifts to the side.
I have tried grouping the place3dtexture node to my sphere node and it still “swims” when I duplicate and move the copy. Surely people duplicate objects with textures projected onto them and move them around the scene. I’m not sure why this is such a problem for me.
The only thing I have in my outliner is the sphere node and the place3dtexture node.
The only thing I have in my hypershade is the blinn shader that consists of a projection node with a place3dtexture node connected to it. There is also a ramp node connected to the projection node. And a place2dtexture node is connected to the ramp node.
Very simple, yet I can’t simply dupicate the sphere without the blinn texture moving on my duplicate.
