I have Maya 2008 and have been using it with no problems until now. I recently installed a new vid card, a Radeon HD 4650, 1 GB AGP and now I get the following error:

I have been trying to find a solution for a few days now but can not find this anywhere. I tried a few different vid drivers etc.

Here is my hardware info (forgive me if I missed anything, I’m not all that saavy).

System Info:

OS: XP Professional 32bit SP3
Processor: AMD Athelon 64 3700+
RAM: 2 GB, 2.21 GHz RAM
Motherboard: Triton K8NSC-939 NVidia drivers
Video: Radeon HD 4650, 1GB DDR2

I forgot the most important part; This happens when I try to load the mental Ray plug-in

That can be a hardware problem with your RAM. Perhaps while putting in the card one of the RAM modules was unseated or damaged. Have you run a memory tester?

No I haven’t. Any recommendations?
