I am brand new user of Maya and learning fast. I have Daz and Poser and have some cool figures in those packages that I would like to modify with Maya tools. Can I import the Daz/Poser figure with all its Mats, Tex etc and lighting for a scene so I can modify in Maya??
I used Export Obj Wave file from Daz but the saved file did not have all the morphs or textures on it when I brought it into Maya. Shouldnt it have come across rigged already???
I might just be getting ahead of myself!! and should work through the tutorials first??? I would like to be able to use the alrady made figures though to ‘disassemble’and play around with. This will help me learn some features of Maya.
Any help much appreciated

Try the FBX export - I think you’ll get better results.
