I need to see my place 2d texture nodes for my file textures. Somehow they seem to have disappeared completely. There are no nodes in the utilities tab, and expanding the network to see inputs and outputs is not showing them either. Has this happened to anyone else? When I create any expression that uses "rotation", it just crash Maya. Translation and Scale work fine. Uninstalled all maya instances, delete maya folder at My Documents, and Program Files, reinstalled Maya, but didnt work. We are using Corei5 processor n 8 GB Ram . The OUTLINERS N HYPERSHADE r cleaned of Both BG's and Character File. Also when we Click on Shading Network of the file it hangs the PC. we have tried a lot bt nt able to sort out this problem. So guys please Help us we r in big mess. I have searched, but nobody seems to have posted regarding this, including newer versions of Maya. Well I did track down how it is happening. Every time I change a panel through the panels menu>panels drop down, the mouse has to roll over 'Stereo Camera' to get to the orthographic cameras - and Maya thinks that means I want to load up the stereo camera, so it gets loaded. Using the space bar to access the panels menu it is 'kind' of possible to guide the mouse away from the stereo camera on the way to the ortho camera, but that does not always work. For me, this means if I am not paying attention a file gets saved with the stereo camera as a requirement, meaning Maya will load this plug in. Getting rid of it by commenting out the requirement statement in the ma file means I have to load up a text editor. I do not know how much resources the stereo camera takes, it is probably negligible, but it's the principle of it. Currently I have moved it out of the /bin/plugins/ folder until it learns to not be so eager. I then used UVLayout to setup the UVs. I am not trying to update the original object in the Maya scene with the new UVs. So what I am doing is importing the OBJ so I have the original mesh and the new update mesh both in the scene in the identical location, scale, etc. In object mode I then select the mesh with the new UVs, then I select the old mesh; go to Transfer Attributes, i set it to world (I have also tried component) and then click apply. When I look at the UV editor of the orinial object the UVs do not look updated. If I look at the attribute editor I see there are TransferAttribute tabs. But as far as I can tell the UVs are not being updated. I ran a test and I exported the original mesh into and OBJ and then created a new scene where I then imported the OBJ with the original UVs and the OBJ with the new UVs, did the same procedure as above and I see the new UVs being applied to the original mesh. The scene that it is not working in has rigging and animations done by the animator so trying to update the UVs and texture the object in the least amount of effort. If the Transfer Attributes is actually working is there something I need to do to see them applied? As can be seen in the attached Image.... The workspace doesnt seem to be doing much of.... Anything in general..... I mean if i rotate it moves but no grid or anything.... The workspace usually resets with a new document or file and its not showing the new grid or anything else and this makes it substantially hard... This happens with it being split to.... I am no sure at all why it is doing what it is and its quite bothersome so any help would be immensely appreciated....
