OK I opened maya today to start a new box model and when selecting vertex’s or edges I end up with these black and orange lines that seems to effect multiple verts/edges etc. Its gotta be a universal setting somewhere that got turned on between my last session and this one but I have no idea what it is much less how to search for it specifically.

Can anyone tell me what setting got changes that causes this? I have only 1 vert selected in the image but I can’t move the single vert w/o affecting all the surrounding ones
