I want to load my hotkeys that I made in maya 2009 into 2010. I can see how to save them out to a text file. But I don’t see how you load them into the hotkey editor? Can this be done? How?
thanks
Thomas

No. At least, not that I know of. The hotkey editor does not provide a mechanism for opening files.

bummer. making hotkey sets on a new job site could be challenging.
I couldn’t find any mechanism in the hotkey editor for opening a file. Care to shine some light on the location of said opener and what it might actually do? I’m prolly hoping for too much that it might be something REALLY useful like importing your custom hotkey setup.
thanks thinkr

You need to copy a few files from your 2009 or 2010 prefs to your 2011 prefs, that’s all. userHotkeys.mel, userRunTimeCommands.mel and userNamedCommands.mel
