Grid missing.

I’ve just installed hotfix 4. The grid is now missing in all viewports. Also, my selction marque doesn’t show up anymore…

Everything is ticked to say it’s on, is there something I’m missing?!?!

Within your Window->Settings/Preferences->Preferences->settings->Cameras define your near clip plane to .01 (or a low number close to the default 0.1 and far clip plane to 10000, restart Maya. If that doesn’t work, toss your C:\Users\<user folder>\Documents\maya\2012-x64\prefs\userPrefs.mel and restart. That should fix the issue.

This seems to happen when someone chooses to import their preferences from older versions of Maya upon 2012 installation.
