I’m running Maya 2012 on OSX 10.7.2… yes, I know, I’ve seen the negative comments. I’m a student and this is what they gave me.
My issue is with the “Create Text” command. It allows me to select every font installed on the computer, and even shows correctly in the little preview window. However, when I hit “Create”, it WILL NOT use any other font but the default, whatever it is… Arial or something.
My classmates do not have this problem. My instructor has the exact same setup (Maya 2012 in OSX 10.7.2) and does not have this problem.
I’ve deleted the preferences folder and forced Maya to reset to the default preferences, and this did not help. It still won’t use any font other than the default.
I expect it’s a setting somewhere, or a bad path, or something… but I haven’t been able to figure it out and I haven’t been able to find anything at all on the web that even mentions a problem like this.
Does anybody have a clue?
Thanks.
