Maya 2012 physx plugin crashes

I am having a major problem. When I woke up this morning and tried to start up maya, it would crash. saying that it was attempting to save but couldn’t. I read in a nother topic to delete the maya preference folder in my document folder and restart maya to make it work again. After doing that maya works just fine but when I go to load the physx plugin,maya crashes again.

Can some one please help. I’m on windows 7 premium with an i5 duel core processor.
