Render settings window opens completely blank??????!!!!!

This is the worst of all the bugs I’ve encountered thus far after upgrading from 2011. Is there a fix for this? It’s maddening!! I’ve even tried the old open a new file, and import the file that has no render setting information, and that works maybe 10% of the time.

Does this only occur when opening older files? If you first launch Maya and go tot he render settings do they show up? Have you tried deleting the prefs.
