Maya corrupted scene file

Whenever I tried to open the scene file I’m working on, Maya gives me an error “//Error: line 0: error reading file” and in the output window there is a message saying “Maya binary file parse error: : (12)bad root block”

How could I fix this problem?

Question how big was your file.  I have found out the hard way that if a Maya binary file becomes to large in size it will allow you to save it, but it will not open the file.  I have not tested this with Maya 2013.  I now reference files to maintain file size.

you could also try saving as an .ma and you can check the code in the file save

Would you remove that animation from your signature please - these are professional forums and such animations are not appropriate.
