Backup save for Maya while running Leopard?

**I accidentally posted this on the 7.x forum also…

I used maya 8.5 on my macbook pro while I had Tiger and was able to recover scenes that Maya shut down on me through the Documents/temp folder. When I upgraded to Leopard, there is no test folder and if I create one, nothing happens? Is there a way that I can get the auto save during crash feature back? Is it auto saving somewhere else? Is it autosaving anywhere at all???? Thanks!
