I am a high school student and just got Maya 8 a few weeks ago. I was using Maya PLE before that and did not have this problem; as I am building my graphics, for example an ATV, the wire frame viewing cameras move onto the last spot I zoomed in on. If I zoom in and do some edge work on the ATV, when I zoom out, the camera has been placed there, and I can see the frame when I zoom back in. I can move the camera out of the way so I can work, but I dont know how to get it to stay out of my image. Sometimes it moves in my way when I am zoomed in, and I cannot see what I am working on. I dont know how to fix this, if it is a setting that is messed up, or if it is something I am doing. If anyone has some advice, I would really appreciate some help!

you can toggle camera visibilty on/off under a specific viewport under the ‘show’ tab - or toggle it globally under ‘Display-Show’
