Hi,

I just got me a new Dell m4300 and installed Maya 6.5. Things looked fine at first when I went to work on some animation, but when I went to do some modeling I found that many of my dialog boxes are missing text and options. For instance, I open Create > NURBS Primitives > Sphere and select the options box I get the NURBS Sphere Options dialog box but the box is empty. There are the Edit and Help menus at the top and the Create, Apply and Close buttons at the bottom but nothing in between. I tried a bunch of other tool options and they range from having no options to having a few options to having all the options. The Create > Polygons Primatives > Cube options show only a text box with “1.0000” and nothing else. Some dialogs show the little outlined subsection outline, but not the contents of the section.

I’ve un-installed and reinstalled and tried the “repair” option in the installer, and get the same results. Now I’m thinking it might be a driver issue, but I have to wait until I get home to download what I think is a new driver from Dell for the Quadro FX 360m card my lappy has.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,
Simon
