Hi

I am working with Maya 8.5 Service Pack 1 (Mac OSX) at Work and I need to create a still image of a viscous liquid splashing. I don’t think my version has Fluid Effects. Is it possible to add fluid effects to this version of Maya or is there a recommended work around without using Fluid Effects.

Thanks!

Adam

If it’s Maya Complete 8.5 you have, then no. You would need Maya Unlimited. That distinction disappeared with Maya 2010; Fluids are now always included.

No

It would work in Maya 2012, because we now have a way to simulate liquids; in earlier versions we didn’t really have that.

Thanks THNKR! Looks like it’s time to upgrade!
