getting started with mental ray

I’m getting the 8.5 soon, no I got it! I’ve A hyper threader cpu, mental ray says I have 8 cpu’s. i DIDN’T RECONFIGURE MY COMPUTER, as a work around I turned off “auto render threads” in render.render current frame.options, hey my mental ray says I still have 8cpu’s?
and when I render thats all it says too? “got 8 satellite cpu’s”. How can I get rid of that message and get stats or details in the MENTAL RAY OUTPUT WINDOW?
