hey
everytime i open maya file 8.5 on my deskop it crashes. it will load up ok and get to 100% but after that it just says maya application not working and now needs to close. for a while i could save it on my laptop and then import it onto my desktop and it worked but its now not working either. ive got 4gb of ram, quad core processor and i cant remember what graphics card i have lol. anyone able to help?

Have you tried creating a ‘new’ file or opening a different file?
Are you just having trouble with that one particular scene?

ive tried saving it as a new file and its only with this one file...anything else opens fine.

Sounds like it’s probably a corrupt file then… Last bet might be to try opening the file on a different machine…
In the future, I’d recommend you save multiple backups or incremental saves though.
