As probably everyone knows the ATI Radeon X800XT Mac edition graphics card was the best card for your older G5 with AGP slots. They don’t make them anymore and I already bought one from eBay last year for $285.00. The card finally died. I do not want to buy another one off eBay that will be even more expensive. I looked into the Autodesk website for legacy graphics cards, and the one that is still available brand new for older G5’s with AGP slots is the Radeon 9600 Pro. The only shortcoming is it does not do hardware rendering.

Is there anyone out there that is using this card and is it working satisfactory in your production pipeline?
Pros and Cons?

Thanks in advance
