I’m getting an error regarding the symmetricModelling procedure not being found when I try to use the now-classic RapidRig.mel script in Maya 7.0.1

The error is specifically “Maya Error: Cannot find procedure “symmetricModelling”

Can someone help me address this?

Thanks,
Kevin Collins

In the mean time, I edited the RapidRigBasic.mel script by commenting out the SymmetricModelling command which was in place to turn off symmetric modeling in case it is already turned on before the RapidRigBasic.mel script is run.

This allowed the script to execute and create the rig as desired so if anyone were to encounter this problem, this response to my own post ought to serve as a work-around more than a resolution.

I’d still like to know how to get the SymmetricModelling command to allow the script to work as designed so any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin Collins
