I was thinking about purchasing a laptop that has the NVIDIA entry level graphic card (FX 370, FX 550, FX 560, or FX 570), does anyone know if any of these card will work for 2008 Maya?

Thanks!

Autodesk has a hardware list, that you might want to look through, and see what Autodesk says about it.

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/hc?siteID=123112&id=6711853

Thats the link I found, just by using the search on autodesk.com.  Although that is mostly for AutoCAD I’d assume that Maya, and AutoCAD are just as intensive, or at least not far off from each other.  I also found

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9683256

Which shows a qualified hardware list that autodesk has tested.  Now I’m sure you will have performance preferences, and you might want to look over some of the recommended machines and see some of the GPU differences and see what might fit your budget.  I’ve never done anything on a Laptop, as far as 3D goes, but I’m sure some of the development specific lappy’s will have a good comparison for you to use as a reference.  I hope this helps!
