Does anyone have any info on Renderman, like what it’s mainly used for, the pros and cons, and other stuff?
Also if you use it could I get an analysis of it?
Thanks.

RenderMan is just a compliance standard, there are several RenderMan compliant render engines available - probably best known would be PRMan

if i remember correctly remderman is a fully scanline renderer that was originaly for pixar. you can buy renderman as a plugin for maya… dont suggest it though… it lacks the speedy GI, FG, and AO . its translators and shaders are supirior but then again all those missing rays LOL
