Im just playing around with the learning edition of maya and Im very new to this tool so my question might be very stupid.

I was wondering how I can see the vertex world coordinates in maya. I can set the coordinate numbers in the menu of input line operations. but where can see the actual coordinates of a vertex? In the channel box with show vertices it just says x:0 y:0 z:0

thank you for your help

I have exactly the same question, but it looks like no one knows anything. Well, I`m just at the very beginning so I can maybe switch to 3Ds Max. That would be a stupid reason for changing the software.

I had the same question when I moved from 3ds to Maya.  Since I was using 3ds for architectural modeling and now I’m doing more organic modeling in Maya, it wasn’t a big deal.  However, I would like the option be be able to control the position of individual points again.  Anyone have any clue? (please don’t tell me to use the distance tool ;P )

Oh, come on. You can’t tell me that it’s not possible to make this. This has to be a joke… Please, Autodesk-Guys, do something.
