thanks, I since did do that, (not often in contact with the reseller, so that didn’t come to mind right away). But he was not forthcoming with an answer anyway, on the part about coming from a specific version as opposed to maya 2009. Hopefully it’s a non-issue. Until the reseller gets back to me I thought I’d see if anyone here would know.

In terms of price I’ve never been thrilled about having to pay full MSRP so I’d still like to know if it’s available elsewhere.
