When opening last saved file - scene is blank?!

hi guys.......

i was working on a file in maya 8.5 and I was using the versions also. But what happened after working 2 or 3 hours I restarted my computer and opened the last saved file.....file opened but nothing was there....even in last 2 or 3 versions were also empty.....in outliner it was showing the names poly surfaces only. All my last 2 or 3 hours hardwork lost and I have to do all the work again.
