So I make a topic pleading for help with Maya physics not working properly. Every time I closed Maya, and reopened it, whatever physics I had going changed and the Rube Goldburg scenario I had going wouldn’t work. But instead I get no answer for a couple days on the HELP FORUMS. So I leave a message saying I would really appreciate a reply. And the post gets deleted? Your lack of courtesy is unacceptable.

How long ago did you make the first post?
I looked clear back into January and don’t see anything from you on this topic…

I suspect you may of posted your question to the Max or Softimage forum by mistake, and the respective forum admin either moved or delete it.

Likewise, this appears to by a dynamics related question - and it should go in our Maya Dynamics sub-forum… moving…

Interesting, I just found your original thread, and merged it with this one.
Not sure why I couldn’t see it before…

This is a mostly community supported forum, and a little bit of patience will often be needed.

In answer to your original question, need a lot more info on how your setting the scene up… Are you using rigid body dynamics to perform your ‘animation’?

What’s not reacting properly exactly?
Simply saying “it doesn’t work” doesn’t give us much to go on…

You post is still there. I can see it.

Why don’t you bake the simulation?

You can get support direct from AutoDesk, but it costs extra. For details contact AutoDesk or the reseller where you bought your package. Any support obtained from this site, or some of the other similar ones like CGTalk, is community-based, given from other users who enjoy chatting about using Maya.

Posting a question and demanding a quick response, and calling everybody rude because they didn’t jump to attention at your request, is certainly no way to make friends and influence people on “teh internets”. Your behavior might itself be considered rude by some people, and it is possible this may be why you haven’t seen a lot of suggestions or solutions.

Well said Wes!  Alot of the guys on here (including me!) are busy professionals and respond to posts as and when we have a spare moment (which can, in a lot of cases - not be very often). A bit of patience and good manners can often work wonders - indeed, in a lot of cases I wouldn’t get offended if no one responds - thats just the way it is..

Now, if you were on an Autodesk support contract and went throught the hotline number and got no response.. then I would be pissed off..  :-p

My 10 cents..
